Apples and Blueberries

ENOUGH SAID

Finger Foods

Now someone needs to tell me why they are called finger foods. They don't look like fingers! Plus...I didn't use MY fingers! Mommy used HER fingers to help me because I couldn't get any into my mouth! But...when they got there....I was a little unsure about what I thought of them.

I really wasn't sure what to think of that strawberry banana combination. It was okay for a minute....

and then I decided that I wasn't so sure this new food was for me. It started to get all mushy in my mouth just like I like my food, but this was just very very strange.

But...because I am starting to be a big girl now, I decided I'd try it again because Mommy wanted me to. I took another one in my mouth, with Mommy's help of course.

But...that one slowly started to come out of my mouth too. I did try...really I did. But, I just don't really like the strawberry banana choice for these things.

The last time Mommy tried to give me one....I was NOT having it. This one wasn't staying in long enough to even START to dissolve!

Now that I am reading...

I realized that both my mommy and daddy always wear these things on their faces. Mommy says they are her glasses that she needs to read. I try to grab them a lot but never seem to get them off. But...I DID IT! Now that I am reading I decided that I need the glasses too! So, I got Daddy's!!!! Sorry Daddy, you will have to get your own...these are mine! I decided that if I have to give them back to Daddy I might as well make sure he can't see out of them...look at how messy I am going to make them by holding onto the glass part! Then I had to think about what I should do with them next.

So....I had to take a minute and just think. Hmmmmmmmmmm....what should I do with Daddy's glasses. I decided the best thing to do...was just....

LAUGH!

What a big girl!

Well, now that I am a whole 6 months old I have learned lots of things. I mean I went to the doctor today and I found out that I am 18 pounds and 3 ounces and 25 3/4 inches long! So, I figured that it was time that I started to be more grown up. So...I chose reading. Check out what a good reader I really am!

MILESTONE

WOW...believe it or not...I am now 6 months old! Half a year old already folks! Amazing is all Mommy can seem to say. There have been so many things that I have started doing it is great. I love getting bigger. I like to have Mommy still hold me and rock me though...I don't want her to think that I am getting too big too fast.
On Saturday we went and got my Christmas and 6 month pictures taken...WOW was I photogenic. There were no photos that Mommy and Daddy didn't want to have. I have to say so myself...there weren't any bad ones! It was a very hard pick. I was in a very pretty dress that was a present from Mommy's friend, Josie. So start checking your mail, as soon as Mommy gets them she is starting to send them out for Christmas cards!

From long ago

Grandma Judy gave me a dress that my mommy wore when she was little. Grandma even has a picture of her in it at the house. So, we had to take pictures too and see me in it. Mommy wasn't sure she was going to like me in it..but come on folks, tell me what I dont' look good in! I look adorable as usual! :) Do you like the little flip on my forehead...yeah...my hair still has a mind of its own.

Baptism

While my Grandma and Papa Swanson were here, I had something else special happen. I got baptised! I wore the same baptismal gown that my mommy and both Uncle Matt and Scott wore. It was pretty neat...it made Grandma almost cry! We went to Bethlehem Church and listened to Pastor Heath talk about Thanksgiving...oh I forgot to tell you I got baptised on Thanksgiving Day! Kinda cool huh? Anyway...then Mommy, Daddy and Auntie Robin got up and I was in front of the whole church! Auntie Robin held me because Mommy and daddy asked her to be my Godmother. It was a very good day. Take a look at all the great pictures we have of everyone with me at my baptism.

Turkey Time

Turkey day was a GREAT day because I had special visitors! My Grandma Judy and Papa Keith came to visit me all the way from MINNESOTA! I was so happy to see them. I laughed and played and spit and made noises for them.

There were lots of exciting things that happened when my grandparents were here. Mommy and I went to the airport to pick them up. We saw them before they saw us...Papa was about to turn to the baggage place and he didn't even see Mommy and I standing there. But I love my Papa that is for sure. I would smile for him every time he looked at me and talked to me and held me and played with me. I didn't get put down much when Grandma and Papa were here.

I also started something new when they were here too. I started sleeping in my crib in my own room! Mommy had a hard time with it but I really was okay. I know that I got Papa up a few times to check on me too. I wasn't sure if Mommy and Daddy would let me stay in my own room once they left...but it is working. I am a big girl now! I am in my own room sleeping like a big girl in my own crib! Speaking of which...off to dream land! Nightie Night!

Decisions Decisions

Yep...that's right...I am unsure about whether or not I like carrots. They aren't my favorite, but they also aren't the worst. The worst...is peas! Those are yucky! I spit them back out at mommy EVERY time. She tries to trick me and cover them with pears which are my favorite, but that doesn't last long. I just have not decided what I honestly think about carrots. I guess I will have to just keep trying them to see.

YUM YUM

Well...I have entered into the wonderful world of REAL food! Now, I still LOVE my ba-ba, but I am startin to love real food. Applesauce is what I was eating here. Mommy said I tore that jar up! I think I ate it all. I have tried sweet potatoes, carrots, applesauce, bananas, and peaches. I don't like peaches that much though. They are kinda sour! I guess I will have to try those a little more later on. All my teachers at daycare told Mommy that I didn't like them very much. My bib was COVERED in peaches! Mommy knew when I had sweat potatoes too because I had some on my sleeve. But that was because I tried to put my fist in my mouth while I was being fed! I have to say, that I really do enjoy being bigger. I even tried to take a chicken nugget from one of my teachers! See how much I enjoyed my applesauce from my mommy!

Doll Baby

Last week I was going to church with Mommy. I was all dressed up just like I love to do. Dressing up is SOOO much fun. Don't tell Daddy that though. He thinks that I am going to be a jock! What is that anyway? Cause then Mommy says that I can still be a jock, but a GIRLY jock. What are they talking about?
ANYWAY, when Mommy and I were at church there was a lady there that told me that I looked just like a doll baby she had at home. Mommy thought that was a pretty great compliment. So, because I was still lookin pretty stylin when I got home we had to take some pictures! Look, even my cheeks are nice and rosy!

The Slobbersaurus

My mommy and daddy have given me a new name...Slobbersaurus. SLOBBERSAURUS? What is that? I mean so I have a little drooling problem...but there are a few reasons...
1. I am a baby!
2. I am only 5 1/2 months old and could be getting teeth soon.
3. It is hereditary...my dad drools too!
HAHA...gotcha Daddy!

Baby It's Cold Outside

Well since Mommy lost my first cute hat...she bought me a new one. She tells me that it isn't that cold here, but I think it is kinda chilly. But if she doesn't think it is that cold here, why is she dressing me in TONS of layers? Hmmm...what's the deal Mommy?

WHAT? Oh how sad!

Why the tears? :( Because of YOU people! Here I am workin hard to let you all see how big I am growing and tell you how much I am doing. I don't get to see you all that much...and Mommy just told me some disturbing news! She said that she KNOWS people are reading but few comments. :( Please leave me comments. Mommy told me to tell you that it is very easy to leave a comment. Click on comments and just type...then push the little button for "Other" and then you can post a comment for me on my page. Mommy reads all the new comments to me...so THANKS COUSIN LUCIE! I love hearing from you! Now...if my 6 month old cousin can leave me some love I KNOW the rest of you can too! Thanks for letting me throw my first online tantrum! :D

5 months! You are kidding!

You are kidding me? That is what everyone keeps saying to Mommy when she tells them I am 5 months old now. Why is that such a big deal people? It is only 5 months! I haven't been here that long. Yet, if you ask my parents they keep saying they can't believe I am that old already. I don't know...I still think I have a long way to go. My cousins are older than me and I have a long way to go! (But I do know I get to be a big cousin in January! Thanks Auntie Kimmie and Uncle Matt!) Let's see...there are so many things that have changed for me in these 5 months. I have started smiling at mommy whenever I see her. I talk to ANYONE that will listen (hmmm sound like anyone you all know?) I hold my own bottle most of the time. I can sit up for a few seconds without toppling over. I sleep through the night. I am eating bananas almost every day. I can play in my Bounce Bounce Baby and make music. I love to have Mommy read me books. I have started to go to daycare and have lots of friends. I have been to my first craft fair. I went Trick or Treating. Wow...maybe Mommy and Daddy are right...I have done a LOT in my short 5 months!

I'm a Big Girl Now!

Mommy started singing to me this morning about what a big girl I am becoming. I get to see the world from a whole new perspective now! Mommy FINALLY carries me around on her hip! Okay, so I had to help her a little and make sure that I was able to keep my head up all the time and keep my tummy tight so that I can stay up and not have Mommy worry about me. So, now I get to see where Mommy and I are going...not where Mommy and I have been! :D

Chillin at home

Well, it is the weekend and so I should have some time to just relax too right? I mean I get VERY tired during my week at daycare! They wear me out there! All that tummy time, and pit time, and kicking, and exercise to get me to roll over and sit up! I tell ya...a girl gets tuckered out awfully fast! So, the weekends are a time for me to recoup and chill with Mommy. I am very good at making sure that I have my own down time. I don't allow Mommy to have a lot for herself, but I try to be good so she can at least get a shower in!

Hair days

Wow let me tell you that all this talk about how much hair I have starts to get to a girl after awhile! I am having quite the interesting do's goin on. Mommy puts my hat on my head and my cute hair in the morning looks
C R A Z Y when I get to daycare! I mean look at that! Mommy just started to laugh at me. Doesn't she know that this is a very trying time for a girl...either you have NO hair or hair that has a mind of its own! I bet you can tell which I have!

My new toys

I have all sorts of toys. Momm is always finding different ones for me to play with. But I have found my favorite toys ever...MY FINGERS! I can do tons of things with them...

I can look intellectual ( don't you love my new word?)

They are VERY good to chew on, suck on, slobber on, choke myself on...I just love my fingers!

I didn't know that they could be so much fun

!

I have also realized that I can use them to grab things and hold onto them. I am becoming a VERY curious little girl. You never know what I will become! Look at how well my fingers work to hold onto my nuk! I am so talented!

Messin with Daddy

My daddy is the best! He loves me tons and let's me climb all over him. He puts me in crazy places to make me laugh. He makes funny faces and talks in silly voices. My daddy is just goofy! Look at what we did together last time!

My first Halloween

Well, I have lived up to my name....Busy BEE Trinity! Not only did I get to be an adorable bee at daycare, but my class even had a party! We got to parade through all the other classrooms and see our daycare friends. It was a fun day, but boy am I pooped!

Just Chillin

Yesterday when Mommy and I got home from a tiring day at daycare we were playing and playing. Mommy put me on all these pillows on the chair...and I of course had to look cute with my messy hair! Then a little later I got a bath and my PJ's on. So...I look a little better in those pictures. Just wanted to share some more pics...Mommy wanted me to tell you all that she loves you! Me too of course!

Gettin Colder

Mommy, Josie, Jen (Isaiah's auntie) Isaiah and I all went shopping in Fairfax at a craft fair. When we were there we saw all sorts of great things. I got balloons and smelled great food. Mommy was going to buy me lots of things when we were there but she decided I looked the cutest in a new hat. Now that it is starting to get colder out, especialy in the mornings when mommy has to take me to school I get to wear it. My daycare mommies keep telling me how cute it looks on me. So, MY mommy must have been right on! What do you think?
